Australia 395-4, trail Pakistan by 48

MELBOURNE: Australia were 395 for four at lunch on day four in the second Test in Melbourne on Thursday in reply to Pakistan's 443-9 declared.

Skipper Steve Smith was unbeaten on 61 with Nic Maddinson on seven, trailing the tourists by 48 runs.

Usman Khawaja was out for 97 early on the fourth day.
