KARACHI: Total liquid foreign exchange reserves of the country stand at $ 23.132 billion, says State Bank of Pakistan.

According to SBP's weekly statement here on Thursday, the foreign reserves held by State Bank on Dec. 16, were $ 18,190.4 million and the net foreign reserves held by commercial banks amounted $ 4,941.6 million.

During the week, SBP's reserves decreased by $ 133 million to $18,190 million.

The decrease in SBP's reserves is due to external debt servicing and other official payments, the statement stated.
