He was presiding over a meeting of the Information department here at Chief Minister House. Provincial Ministers Inayatullah, Mehmood Jan, Advisor to Chief Minister on Information Mushtaq Ghani, Secretary Information and others attended.
A presentation was given at the occasion by the secretary Information. The chief minister directed to market the government products in education, health, local government, legislation, reforms and initiatives launched by his government for the benefit of the general public.
The Chief Minister said that the government initiated record legislation and reforms in the public sector institutions, depoliticized them and made them subservient to the will of the people. He directed to show difference between the past and present KP after initiating public welfare activities.
His government discouraged undesired spending and promoted a culture of spending on the public welfare and rectifying the system enabling it to deliver up to the people expectations.
Pervez Khattak said that the plan should speak out the rectifying measures, his government initiated and the financial discipline maintained by his government discouraging undesirable and unnecessary drain of resources. He reminded that it was the past and now the present of the province was a totally different one making a parallel between wrong and right.
The Chief Minister said that the resources incurred in the process of maintaining strict financial discipline was being diverted to the people welfare and public welfare oriented strategy. His government made a difference that was visible now and it should be highlighted rising the level of awareness of the people that the public money was being spent on them.
He also directed to plan comparing the past with the present KP and where will the KP stand after the completion of the present government tenure.
Pervez Khattak said the record legislation and reforms revamped the system, it brought transparency and openness in governance that was unparallel in nature and that would change the entire landscape of governance in the province. He said that the publicity plan should not be mere an image boosting but beyond it showing both sides of the picture to reach the world reality.
