The Planning & Development Board (P&DB) Punjab has approved two schemes of construction of roads district Sargodha at a cost of Rs 330.978 million.
The case presented by the Communication & Works Department revealed that under the first scheme a 24-feet road from Sargodha Jhang Road to 84/NB More to Sargodha Sahiwal road 92/NB More via 189/N Kalowal Sultanpur Bungalow having the length of 37.21 Km would be constructed. An amount of Rs 163.568 million would be incurred on its completion.
The second scheme was also for the widening improvement and construction of 24 feet road from Shaheenabad to Chak No 119 SB to Sillanwali via chak No 126 SB, 132 SB, 135 SB and 136 SB including bypass Sillanwali with a length of 33.79 km. Its estimated cost would be Rs 163.568 million. It was informed that both the roads having the existing width of 10 ft would be increased up to 24 ft.
Moreover, the meeting also discussed another scheme of widening/improvement of a road from interchange Khankah Dogran to Hafizabad and kept it pending for next meeting. The C&W Department was directed to include the cost of land acquired for the purpose.
