Mumbai Mirror has reported that she will not be coming back to India to shoot the second song. Also, a romantic scene between SRK and Mahira has also reportedly been chopped off.

A source also quoted saying, "While Mahira plays SRK's love interest, and it is not a romantic film. The film revolves around the conflict between Shah Rukh who plays a bootlegger and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who plays a cop. So, it wasn't difficult to trim her role," Indian media reported.

Recently, while addressing many hate comments, Mahira Khan in a video also responded to a tweet taking a jibe at her (no) presence in SRK's Raees teaser. In response to a tweet that read as, "Raees k trailer main to Mahira Khan ko lift hi nai krayi gayi (Nobody gave enough importance to Mahira Khan in Raees teaser)," the actress just laughed it off.

The movie which also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles will hit theatres on January 26, 2017.
