Hinopak Motors Limited on Thursday launched its Hino Dutro Light Duty Truck and local made CNG bus at a grand launching ceremony held at Expo Centre Karachi.
Kunwar Idris, Chairman Hinopak, on this occasion, said that the local production of dedicated Hino CNG buses and introduction of Hino's world renowned Dutro light duty truck with euro emission compliant engine are just two examples of our strive.
He further added in his speech that since the recent past the government of Pakistan has been taking keen interest towards the modernisation and growth of national transportation network to bridge the gap with across the border transportation trends. He also appreciated the government plans to introduce the mono rail system in Karachi City, and urged the government to support the urban transport system in Karachi as the mono rail system would take long time to implement. He further added that CNG buses are the need of the day and Hinopak Motors has finally come up with its production of dedicated CNG engine buses with huge investment. He also urged the urban operators to come forward and start their operation with CNG buses.
Sumio Fukaya, Senior Executive Officer, Overseas Sales & Marketing Division, Hino Motors Japan also honoured the occasion with his presence. In his address to the audience he said that Pakistan is an important market for Hino and Hino Japan assures full support to Hinopak to cater the needs of Pakistani market.
K. Maeda, Managing Director & CEO, Hinopak Motors Ltd, highlighted that they were proud in displaying their new CNG bus and Dutro light duty truck models which are more environment friendly, safer and more comfortable for drivers and passengers. He further added that by introducing the locally made CNG bus by Hinopak, they believe it would benefit the nation in the long run by saving precious foreign exchange spent on import of fuel as well as reducing pollution and improving the environment.
M. Irfan Shaikh, Director Sales & Marketing in his address said that they are grateful to the government for providing enormous support by substantially reducing duties and exempting sales tax on higher range commercial vehicles thus making them cheaper for our valued transporters. As the 'Total Customer Satisfaction' is our main motto as such they are now introducing the new technology for customers.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of corporate heads, entrepreneurs, government officials, Hinopak sales dealers, transporters and bus operators.
