This is Pakistan’s best chance to beat Australia, says Waqar

However, Pakistan’s bigger test waits as they would meet the Australians, who at the moment are reeling from series loss to South Africa.

Pakistan’s legendry fast bowler Waqar Younis believes that this is the best chance for Pakistan to record history.

"It's never easy in Australia on these bouncy pitches. I feel this is their best chance to beat Australia,” said Pakistan former captain and head coach Waqar, reported WAtoday. "In the past we always feared Australia are the better side playing in Australia - but not at the moment,” he added.

Pakistan under the leadership of Misbah-ul-Haq has become a much settled team, and has achieved great strides particularly in Test cricket. However, a 2-0 series defeat at the hands of New Zealand has shrunk expectations for a Pakistani success on the bouncy Australian soil.

"Pakistan has been a very settled side the last couple of years, they've been playing really good cricket but they have to play to their potential,” said Waqar, who at present is a full time commentator and will also be a guest commentator for Channel 9 during the series.
