Six PR employees suspended on corruption charges

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways Chief Executive Officer M Javaid Anwar Monday suspended six employees including three officers on the charges of embezzlement in local purchase and substandard construction work in PR Sukkhur division.

According to a notification issued here, divisional engineer 1 M Shafique, divisional accounts officer Maqsood Ahmad, assistant engineer Manzoor Hussain Anwar inspector works Khalid Aziz, works accountant M Azeem and head clerk budget Nisar Ahmad have been suspended.

An inquiry has been launched against these employees and show cause notices have been issued to these employees for dismissal from jobs.
