These views were expressed by FPCCI Regional Chairman and Vice President Mian Rehman Aziz during an interactive session arranged between FPCCI office bearers and Lahore Economic Journalists Association (LEJA) at Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Regional office, here on Friday.
He said that it was a responsibility of the media to broadcast quality news and reviews for building soft image of the country.
Pakistani media was playing significant role for economic prosperity of the country and its role turned out further important in perspective of CPEC, the Game Changer, he added.
Mian Rehman Aziz, said the FPCCI had always encouraged media and therefore he had already signed Memorandum of Understanding with Lahore Economic Journalists Association (LEJA) to pledge a closer working relationship between the two institutions and for the promotion of trade activities.
Former president of Sheikhupura Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman FPCCI Standing Committee on Research and Development Manzoor ul Haq Malik said media should play energetic role in improving governance, increasing economic efficiency and stability, and creating positive social and environmental change.
He said media played very important part in foundation of Sheikhupura Chamber of Commerce, making trade Ordinance and starting rescue system in Sheikhupura city.
He added FPCCI Regional office would soon have R & D department which would further play its role in assisting press and media.
