Russian energy min: ready to resume gas supplies to Ukraine

MOSCOW: Russia is ready to resume natural gas supplies to Ukraine if Kiev pays upfront for the fuel, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on Friday.

Novak, speaking at a news conference after meeting EU Commission Vice-President Maros Sefcovic, said Moscow was ready to supply between 1.5 billion and 4 billion cubic meters of gas to Ukraine this winter.
