ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of Hanif Abbasi's petition seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and its Secretary General Jehangir Tareen over tax invasion and hidding of assests.

The court also issued notices to the Federation and Election Commission of Pakistan seeking their replies in the case.

A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case. During the course of proceedings, Naeem Bukhari, counsel for the PTI chief, Anwar Mansoor, counsel for Jehangir Tareen, sought some time for submitting reply on behalf of their clients.

Akram Sheikh, counsel for the petitioner, pleaded the court to issue notices to the government and ECP and sought replies.
