LCCI taking steps to promote public-private partnership

LAHORE: Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Vice President Nasir Hameed Khan has said the chamber was taking comprehensive measures to promote public- private partnership as it was the best solution of economic

issues.

Addressing a delegation of National Management College (NMC) led by Dr Saad S Khan here on Wednesday, he said that the business community was supporting government's efforts to resolve economic challenges faced by the country.

Briefing about the LCCI's role in policy making, Nasir Hameed said the LCCI was putting efforts to promote industry and trade in the country, adding that more than 100 LCCI's standing committees have been formed that submit their reports to departments concerned after collecting and analyzing the feedback from the private sector.

He further said the LCCI suggested economic reforms to policy making institutions after reviewing the federal budget, adding the LCCI ensured continuous correspondence and

exchange of trade matters with the commercial section foreign companies as well.

Addressing on the occasion, Dr Saad S Khan appreciated the role carried out by the LCCI for promotion of economic activities in country.

LCCI former president Engineer Sohail Lashari, former vice president Aftab Ahmad, Executive Committee members Mian Zahid Javed, Mouzzam Rasheed and other members were present.
