CJ refuses to hear May 12 tragedy petition

KARACHI: The Chief Justice of Sindh High Court (SHC) Mr. Justice Sajjad Ali Shah Tuesday refused to hear a petition seeking formation of a larger bench regarding May 12 tragedy, terming that he was among affectees of the same tragedy.

A division bench headed by the Chief Justice of SHC Mr. Justice Sajjad Ali Shah referred the matter to a bench headed by senior puisne judge, Mr. Justice Ahmed Ali M Shaikh.

The petition was filed by Syed Iqbal Kazmi on the matter.
