NA rejects minimum fixation of pension at Rs 50,000 per month

ISLAMABAD: National Assembly on Tuesday unanimously rejected the minimum fixation of pension of government employees at Rs 50,000 per month, which was moved the motion by Parveen Masood Bhatti.

The Motion was moved under the rules 259 to hold discussion on the situation arising out of non-fixation of minimum pension of government employees at Rs.50,000 per month.

Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Rana Muhammad Afzal said that it was very difficult for the government to provide the equal pension to all retired employees.

Rana Muhammad Afzal informed the House that with the passage of time the government revised pay scale and increased salaries of government employees but it was impossible to provide equal pension to all retired employees.
