ISLAMABAD: Minister for SAFRON Lt General (Retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch Sunday said the government would accept the Supreme Court verdict on the Panama Papers.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he said, should better wait for the court decision. Talking to a private news channel, Abdul Qadir said the court verdict could come in favour of any party, but PTI chief Imran Khan did not accept the decisions if the same were against him.

Since the Panama Papers issue pre judice so it should not be discussed in media, he added. The minister recalled soon after the Panama Papers leaks, the prime minister had written a letter to the Supreme Court to probe the matter.

To a question, he said the Parliament was a right forum to discuss issues and the PTI should also use that forum for the redressal of issues being faced by the common man.

Replying to another question, Abdul Qadir said the people were showing full confidence in the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government for its prudent policies.

The victory of PML-N candidates in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan general elections, local government and cantonment polls and bye-elections were evident of that fact, he added.
