Pakistan 50-1 at tea, trail New Zealand by 17

CHRISTCHURCH: Pakistan were 50-1 at tea in their second innings to trail New Zealand by 17 on day three of the first Test at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Saturday.

Azhar Ali was not out 19 with Babar Azam on 23 after a pedestrian middle session in which Pakistan only scored 44 runs for the loss of Sami Aslam's wicket for seven.

New Zealand were all out in their first innings for 200.
