Chile's president Bachelet says will reshuffle cabinet

SANTIAGO: Chile's President Michelle Bachelet said on Twitter on Friday that she will announce a cabinet reshuffle later in the day, the second government shakeup in a month, as members of her administration free themselves up for 2017 congressional and presidential elections.

In Chile, it is common for the president to reshuffle the cabinet in the final year of a term in order to free up cabinet members to run in elections or join presidential campaign teams.
