ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday expressed annoyance over appointment of old age people as members in Federal Services Tribunal (FST).

A division bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali heard the case.

The Chief Justice asked why a person was appointed in government departments after attaining retirement.

The Chief Justice asked why age criteria was not set for the appointment of FST members as 75 and 80 year old people were being appointed in government departments.

The Attorney General appeared before the court and stated that age limit criteria should be formed for the appointment of FST members.

The bench asked the AGP to inform the court regarding amendments in FST Rules after getting direction from the federation and adjourned hearing of the case till Friday.
