Chinese's officials agree to form working group with Sindh Govt

KARACHI: Chinese's officials have agreed to form working group with Sindh government for development of industrial park, special economic zones and establishment of industries in the province.

The consensus in this regard was reached between Officials of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Economic and Commercial Councillor of Chinese Consulate here in a meeting with Chairperson Sindh Board of Investment (SBI), Ms. Naheed Memon, said a statement here Thursday.

Representative of Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Han Qiang, Economic and Commercial Councillor, Gwo Chwnshui, Sindh Secretary Health, Dr. Muhammad Usman Chachar, Secretary Industries, Abdul Raheem Soomro and other notables attended the meeting.

Addressing the occasion, Ms. Naheed briefed that investors are being provided relief in taxes in the special economic zones and necessary facilities are also being extended to them.

A special cell is established in the Sindh Police to provide security to the Chinese investors, she added.

She pointed out that excellent investment opportunities are available in Pak China special economic zone and special economic zones at Ketti Bander and Larkana, which will after opertionalization are expected to create over 200,000 jobs.
