Hong Kong stocks end down after see-saw day

HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks ended a volatile day lower on Thursday as investors try to gauge the outlook for the global economy under a Donald Trump presidency.

The Hang Seng index fell 0.08 percent, or 17.65 points, to 22,262.88.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.11 percent, or 3.39 points, to 3,208.45 but the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.38 percent, or 7.99 points, to 2,116.86.
