ISLAMABAD: A mild earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter Scale was recorded in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and adjoining areas on Tuesday.

According to media reports the tremors were also felt in Chitral, Swat, Buttagram, Noshehra, Lahore and different parts of Punjab.

Epicenter of the quake was 179 kilometer deep at Hindukash Mountains inAfghanistan.

No loss of life and property has been reported so far.
