Bank employee sent on judicial remand in corruption case

ISLAMABAD: A lower court of Islamabad Tuesday sent a former bank employee on judicial remand in a corruption case.

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) produced the accused Saadullah Khan in the court of Senior Civil Judge Abdul Ghafoor Kakar. FIA informed the court that the accused was a senior financial consultant in a local bank and he had illegally withdrew the amount of Rs 2.4 million from the bank account of a person Syed Ishfaq.

The accused allegedly withdrew the money by putting fake signature of the account holder on ten cheques. FIA prayed the court to send the accused on judicial remand to ensure completion of investigation process, which was granted by the court.

It may be mentioned here that FIA Banking Circle had registered a case against Saadullah Khan for his involvement in a misuse of his office position.
