Hong Kong stocks extend losses in morning session

HONG KONG: Shares in Hong Kong fell more than one percent in the morning session Monday, extending last week's losses on worries about the impact of a Donald Trump presidency.

The Hang Seng index fell 1.17 percent, or 263.89 points, to 22,267.2 by the break.

But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.35 percent, or 11.08 points, to 3,207.12 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.21 percent, or 4.48 points, to 2,112.51.
