Hong Kong stocks slip at end of a volatile week

HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks tumbled Friday on worries President-elect Donald Trump will introduce measures that could hit the global economy and lead to higher US interest rates.

The Hang Seng Index fell 1.35 percent, or 308.02 points, to end at 22,531.09.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.78 percent, or 24.76 points, to 3,196.04 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.53 percent, or 11.14 points, to 2,108.03.
