Railway officials from seven countries visited Faisalabad Dry Port and saw the facilities extended by Pakistan Railways for expeditious transportation of export cargo from Faisalabad to Karachi port.
Briefing the delegation, Muhammad Siddique, Chairman, Faisalabad Dry Prot Trust (FDPT), said that the dry port was utilising two weekly freight trains, in addition to road transport. Collector of Customs M B Tahir also briefed the delegation about customs facilities provided at the dry port.
The delegation comprised Railway officials from Kenya, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Iran and Syria. M A Qureshi, Joint Director, Mechanical, Pakistan Railways accompanied the delegation.
