CDA approves 9 uplift projects

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Wednesday approved nine development projects worth around Rs 10 billion. The meeting to this effect was held here with CDA Chairman Kamran Lashari in the chair.
Representatives from the Planning Commission, interior and finance ministries, CDA board members and Cost and Evaluation Director Nisar Ahmed attended the meeting.
Major projects, which were approved for formal execution include Construction of 7th Avenue from Khayaban-e-Suhrwardy to Khayaban-e-Iqbal worth Rs 197 million, construction of 9th Avenue from IJP Road to Khayaban-e-Iqbal (Rs 376.96 million), dualisation of road from Khanna bridge to Tramari Chowk (Rs 465 million), development and upgradation of Margalla Town (Rs 401.50 million), development of Fatima Jinnah Park (Rs 5 billion), improvement in light network and light level at various locations of Islamabad (Rs 53 million), development of arts and crafts village at Saidpur Road (Rs 112 million) and construction of fly-over on Jinnah Avenue at the intersection of 7th Avenue, Islamabad.
