Tribal gunmen opened fire on a passenger bus in Balochistan on Tuesday, killing five people and injuring two others, police said. Police linked the attack to business rivalry between two groups vying for control over a bus route in the town of Dera Murad Jamali, about 288km south of Quetta. "Five people were killed and two wounded when gunmen from a rival party opened fire at a passenger bus," provincial police chief Chaudhry Yaqoob said.
"The incident is an outcome of rivalry between two local transporter groups," he said. There had been no arrests, he said.
