The NWFP assembly on Thursday adopted a unanimous resolution asking the federal government to establish Circuit bench of the Federal Services Tribunal in the Frontier Province.
The resolution moved by Khalid Waqar Chamkani of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA), stated that Circuit bench of the Federal Services Tribunal are already working in other provinces.
Its establishment in the NWFP will provide great relief to the people, it added.
The House also accorded unanimous approval to the resolution of Dr Zakir ullah Khan of MMA which pertained to construction of 1.5 kilometer long Malakand Tunnel on the pattern of Kohat tunnel. He said, NHA should be approached for its construction.
The Malakand tunnel if constructed would relieve the people of cumbersome 18 kilometers mountainous journey.
The resolution moved by Mrs Imtiaz Sultana Bukhari of PML-(N) was adopted unanimously by the House. The resolution stated that in-service and retired army officers working against various posts in civil departments in the province should be sent back.
Moreover, contracts of the retired army officers working in the provincial departments should be abolished and competent and experienced civil officers from the surplus pool should be appointed against these posts, the resolution added.
Speaking on a resolution, the Education Minister Maulana Fazle Ali said, the feasibility to upgrade Government Girls Higher Secondary School Sector-II and Boys Higher Secondary School Kalabat, Haripur district would be included in next year ADP.
The resolution was moved by Akhtar Nawaz Khan of MMA.
The resolution tabled by Habibur Rehman Khan of MMA was passed by majority. It pertained to making functional the water supply schemes constructed under Community Programme in the province through old procedure.
Javed Khan Momand in his resolution demanded shifting of Wapda Khyber Circle to Qamar Din Ghari, on Kohat road. The resolution was adopted by majority.
Salma Babar in her resolution demanded restarting of Dera-Peshawar-Islamabad flight, which was abandoned during Afghan war for security reasons.
The resolution was adopted unanimously by the House.
