BNP shares leap 12.06pc, French index up 3.87pc

PARIS : French bank shares leapt with BNP Paribas stock rocketing and the CAC 40 index gaining 3.87 percent on Thursday

BNP Paris shares leapt, then eased to show a gain of 12.06 percent to 29.86 euros, Societe Generale by 8.23 percent to 18.87 euros and Credit Agricole 7.32 percent to 5.60 euros.
