PTF president congrats taekwondo team

ISLAMABAD: President Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) has congratulated Pakistan taekwondo players and officials for outstanding performance during the 12th South Asian Games (SAG) in India.

Pakistan Taekwondo Team won two gold, one silver and four bronze medals at the SAG in taekwondo event.

In a message issued here on Tuesday, President PTF said that Pakistan taekwondo team had made the nation proud by winning medals.

Pakistan's Yasmeen Maryam Khan and Asim Ijaz won gold medals in fin weight and heavy weight categories, while Naveed Khan claimed silver medal in feather weight.

Muhammad Ashfaq, Syed Adeel Shah, Ayesha Noor and Yamna Siddiqui clinched bronze medal in bantam weight, welter weight, fly weight and light weight, respectively.

It may be mentioned that Murtaza Hassan Bangash acted as international referee and Lt Col Muhammad Tariq Mumshad Bodla acted as member jury.
