PML(N) wins 40 seats of UC chairman, independent 48, PTI 9

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Pakistan Muslim League (N) have won 40 seats of chairmanship while independent candidates won 48 seats, PTI 9 seats and JUI grabbed one seat during local body elections in district DG Khan.

According to unofficial results, there are total 98 seats of union council in the district out of which independent candidates won 48 seats, PML (N) 40 seats, PTI nine seats and JUI get one seat.

In municipal corporation DG Khan, PML(N) took lead in the district by winning 9 seats of district council, independent six and PTI get two seats.

There are total 115 union councils of the district out of which 17 have been divided in two municipal committees including Kot Chatta and Tounsa. According to unofficial results, in 20 wards of municipal committee Tounsa, PML (N) have won 10 seats, PTI nine seats while one seat won by an independent candidate. Similarly, in 13 wards of municipal committee Kot Chatta, PML (N) won eight seats, independent four seats while JUI grabbed one seat.
