(Karachi) Sindh Government Spokesperson Murtaza Wahab has said that irresponsible statements by the federal government have resulted in increase in coronavirus cases and deaths.

Addressing a press briefing in Karachi on Monday, Wahab said that Sindh government's strategy of "strict lockdown" was undermined by the federal government from day one.

"It is unfortunate that PTI leaders are issuing threats against the provincial government."

Wahab maintained, "Unfortunately, due to the mixed messaging by the central government, the common man thinks there is no such thing as corona."

He pointed out that the Sindh government will implement federal government's strategy to tackle the novel coronavirus.

Murtaza Wahab mentioned that Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah attended a National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) meeting today and he will also meet the prime minister and others to present his point of view over the situation.
