khar---ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar has said Pakistan believes in peaceful co-existence and cooperation to extend foreign relations with other countries.

 

Talking to a private television channel, she said that Pakistan has been enjoying good relations with Obama administration on the basis of mutual interest and respect.

 

She said that the parliament gave decision to open the NATO supply lines after Salala incident.

 

Replying to a question, she said mainstay of Pakistan's foreign policy is regional cooperation and Pakistan believes in improving its relation with all regional countries.

 

She added that Pakistan wants peaceful, prosperous and stable Afghanistan to promote regional peace and stability.

 

Replying to another question, she said Pakistan wants to improve bilateral relations with India and wants to resolve all its conflicts to maintain peace and stability in the region.

 

She added that first ever in history, our government expanded trade relations with India to reduce hostility between two neighboring countries.

 

She pointed out that Pakistan has always used diplomacy to highlight the Kashmir issue and resolve it through dialogue and negotiation.

 

She said that Pakistan is against any type of terrorism and insurgency in other country and "we always condemned the non-state actors in any part of the world."

 

She said that Pakistan is also looking for long term relations with Bangladesh.

 

She pointed out that D-8 conference improved Pakistan's image in front of the civilized world as heads of state and government participated in summit.

 

She said that all D-8 member countries need to improve more relations in the fields of trade and business like European Union (EU) and Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN).

 

Replying to another question, she said that foreign ministry has played advisory role in foreign policy and the government took decisions through parliament.
