Chinese ambassador to Israel found dead in Herzliya City

(Karachi) The Chinese ambassador to Israel Du Wei was found dead in his home north of Tel Aviv on Sunday, Israel’s Foreign Ministry said. The exact cause of death could not be ascertained as yet, however police is investigating the incident.
According to details, the 58-year-old envoy was found dead in an apartment in Herzliya city. Wei was appointed as the ambassador to Israel in February in midst of coronavirus pandemic. He also worked as the ambassador to Ukraine from 2016 to 2019.
He is survived by his wife and son.
A few days earlier, the Chinese ambassador had condemned comments by visiting U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who denounced Chinese investments in Israel and accused China of hiding information about the coronavirus outbreak.
