On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,479. The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.710 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,742.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3.910 billion, followed by crude oil PKR 653.588 million, currencies through COTS PKR 282.258 million, silver PKR 270.711 million, NSDQ 100 PKR 254.648 million, SP500 PKR 112.637 million, Brent PKR 66.075 million, natural gas PKR 60.551 million, platinum PKR 50.842 million, DJ PKR 41.469 million and copper PKR 7.113 million.
In agriculture commodities 2 lots of soybean amounting to PKR 13.402 million and 2 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 0.891 million were traded.
