The Punjab government has banned private purchase, transportation, and storage of wheat except for personal use to meet the wheat procurement target set at 4.5 million tons in the province.
Feed mills and unregistered seed companies will also not be permitted wheat purchase. Chief Secretary Major Azam Suleman Khan (r) said this while reviewing arrangements for wheat procurement here on Tuesday.
