On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,484. The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.148 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,144.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.912 billion, followed by NSDQ 100 PKR 744.213 million, crude oil PKR 703.401 million, DJ PKR 584.357 million, silver PKR 390.782 million, currencies through COTS PKR 353.695 million, Japan equity PKR 201.425 million, SP500 PKR 77.695 million, platinum PKR 71.698 million, Brent crude oil PKR 41.055 million, natural gas PKR 38.432 million and copper PKR 29.081 million.
In agriculture commodities 2 lots of wheat amounting to PKR 9.315 million and 10 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 4.126 million were traded.
