On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,525.
The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.614 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,119.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.138 billion, followed by crude oil PKR 1.092 billion, DJ PKR 677.799 million, Brent crude oil PKR 628.094 million, NSDQ 100 PKR 434.060 million, currencies through COTS PKR 317.424 million, silver PKR 203.611 million, SP500 PKR 69.235 million, copper PKR 23.638 million, platinum PKR 19.294 million and natural gas PKR 10.944 million.
In agriculture commodities 4 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 1.647 million were traded.
