BEIJING: Foreign direct investment (FDI) into China rose 7.2% in the first half of the year to 478.33 billion yuan ($69.7 billion) compared with a year earlier, the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.

In June, FDI into China grew 8.5% to 109.27 billion yuan, the commerce ministry said, up from May's 63.83 billion yuan.
