DUBAI/CAIRO: Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), said on Tuesday it had bought 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at its latest international purchasing tender.

GASC was seeking an unspecified quantity of wheat for shipment on Aug. 2-12.

Tuesday's tender is the first one in Egypt's 2019-2020 financial year, which began on July 1.

Traders gave the following breakdown of the purchase in dollars per tonne:

* CHS: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $196.71 and $13.75 freight equating to $210.46.
