CHICAGO: Spot basis offers for US soymeal eased in the rail market on Wednesday, with improving logistics making it easier to ship soymeal by train, dealers said.

* Offers were steady to firm in the truck market, supported by a pickup in demand for spot loads, an Indiana dealer said.

* Supplies were likely to increase in the coming weeks as more plants that had been shut down for maintenance begin to come back on line, a rail broker said.

* At 11:08 a.m. CDT (1608 GMT), Chicago Board of Trade July soymeal futures were down $2.90 at $319.10 a ton. The August contract was $2.90 lower at $320.60 a ton.
