CHICAGO: Spot basis offers for US soymeal were steady to higher in rail and truck markets on Wednesday as logistics problems limited shipments, dealers said.
Demand for soymeal remains solid, creating "nearby tightness in supplies," a trader said.
Offers firmed in the CIF market, as barge shipments to the US Gulf remain severely restricted due to high water levels on the Mississippi River and other waterways.
Logistics problems linked to the high water levels are limiting the volume of soymeal available, traders said.
