Taiwan tenders to buy 111,050 tonnes wheat from US

HAMBURG: The Taiwan Flour Millers' Association has issued an international tender to purchase 111,050 tonnes of grade 1 milling wheat to be sourced from the United States, European traders said on Monday.

The tender deadline is May 21.

The tender seeks a range of different wheat types.

The wheat is sought in two consignments for shipment from the US Pacific Northwest coast.

The first consignment of 56,350 tonnes is sought for shipment July 5-19 and the second of 54,700 tonnes is sought for shipment between July 20 and Aug. 3.

In its last reported tender on April 23, the Taiwanese association purchased 109,175 tonnes of milling wheat also to be sourced from the United States.
