HAMBURG: South Korea's Major Feedmill Group (MFG) purchased about 65,000 tonnes of feed wheat to be sourced from any optional worldwide origins in a private deal on Friday without an international tender being issued, European traders said.

It was bought at around $212.99 a tonne c&f plus a $1.25 a tonne surcharge for additional port unloading for arrival in South Korea around Oct. 5.

Seller was believed to be trading house Olam.

The deal was made after South Korea's largest animal feed producer Nonghyup Feed Inc (NOFI) separately bought 60,000 tonnes of feed wheat in a tender on Friday at $214.20 a tonne c&f for arrival in South Korea around Sept. 25, traders said.
