CHICAGO: Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) corn futures rebounded on Wednesday from a six-week low posted in the previous session on bargain buying and renewed export demand following the market's steep drop, traders said.
* CBOT March corn settled 2-3/4 cents higher at $3.74 per bushel after hitting its lowest since Nov. 28 in the previous session.
* Corn was supported by renewed demand from global importers after the previous day's steep price decline. South Korean feedmakers were particularly active buyers.
* Traders continue to watch for any corn demand from China following promises by Beijing to purchase "a significant amount" of US agricultural goods and other products.
* The market is monitoring South American weather following hot and dry weather in Brazil and excessive rains in Argentina.
