CHICAGO: Soymeal spot basis offers were down $1 per ton for barges loaded for the US Gulf Coast on Monday and unchanged in Midwest rail and truck markets, dealers said.
Trading in the cash soymeal market was nearly nonexistent as many dealers were away for Tuesday's Christmas holiday.
Chicago Board of Trade March soymeal futures were up $1.00 per ton at $311.10 per ton at 10:25 a.m. CST (1625 GMT), ahead of the early holiday close at 12:05 p.m.
