Brazil coffee crop for 2018 at new record

SAO PAULO: Brazil, the world's largest coffee producer and exporter, produced a record 61.65 million coffee bags in 2018, the country's agricultural statistics agency Conab said on Tuesday.

The results represent a 37 percent rise over 2017 production levels, according to Conab, due to "favorable climate conditions" and better technology available for production.
