Soymeal eases on US/China trade worries

ROTTERDAM: Asking prices for soymeal on the European meals and feeds market eased on Tuesday because of worries about the ongoing trade dispute between the US and China.

South American soymeal was mostly offered between unchanged and $5 a tonne lower, following the easier trend in CBOT soymeal futures.

CBOT markets will be closed on Wednesday for the US Independence Day holiday.

Rapemeal was quoted between unchanged and two euros per tonne down from Monday, tracking easier soymeal and pressured by a slightly weaker dollar, which weighs on euro-priced products. Slack demand also added to the weaker tone.
