ANKARA: Turkey imported 44.47 tonnes of gold in January and 16.03 tonnes in February, data from Borsa Istanbul showed on Thursday.
Gold imports to Turkey hit a record high of 370 tonnes in 2017, more than trebling from 106.1 tonnes a year earlier. This was the highest level of gold imports since the data was made available in 1995.
