PESHAWAR: Chief Executive Officer of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco), Engineer Akhtar Hameed Khan, chaired an important meeting to review the performance of the Mardan and Swabi circles.

During the meeting, the Pesco chief issued directives to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply, prompt resolution of consumer complaints, prevention of electricity theft, recovery of outstanding dues, reduction of line losses, achievement of National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) targets and improvement of field operations.

He received detailed briefings from field officers regarding the performance of their respective circles, divisions and subdivisions.

The Pesco chief appreciated officers demonstrating satisfactory performance, while show-cause notices were issued to those with poor performance.

He directed underperforming officers to improve their performance within the next three months, warning that strict departmental action would be taken against those who failed to meet the required standards.

Engineer Akhtar Hameed Khan emphasised that the timely resolution of consumer complaints remained a top priority.

He instructed officials to treat consumers with courtesy and professionalism.

He also directed the concerned officers to intensify the campaign against electricity theft and take concrete measures to reduce line losses and achieve Nepra targets.
